2018 Scholarship Presentation Dinner
Lynch Family Legacy Scholarship and Exceptional Star of the Year Awards Presentation.
The John Lynch Foundation awarded the Lynch Family Legacy Scholarships and the Exceptional Star of the Year Awards to eight very deserving candidates from Denver. John and Linda Lynch hosted the winners and their parents at an intimate dinner held in the Visitors Locker Room at Sports Authority Field.
The Lynch Family Legacy Scholarships are four year renewable scholarships, worth $24,000 each. The Lynches also presented the Excpetional Star of hte Year Award to four inspiring student-athletes. The Excpetional Star of the Year Awards are presented to student-athletes with Downsyndrome or other intellectual disabilities. They are one time awards worth $5,000 each.
Lynch Familky Legacy Scholarship Winners
Nicole Oberlag – graduate of Denver South High School, Attending Harvey Mudd College
Mary Gillett – graduate of Niwot High School, attending Stanford University
Hannah Mosher – graduate of Lakewood High School, attending Creighton University, Global Scholars Program
Ben DeBenedictis – graduate of Douglas County High School, attending Arizona State University
Exceptional Star of the Year Awards Rising Star of the Month
Luke Gebbink – graduating from Pueblo Centennial High School and will be attending Colorado State University.
Reilly McCluskey – Reilly will graduate from Longmont High School this year. He has been accepted to the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs (UCCS).
Caitlin Hass– Caitlin attends Cherokee Trail High School and will graduate May 25th. She will be attending Northeastern Junior College and is going to study Speech Pathology
Jack Mosher– Jack is graduating from Columbine High School and will be attending Arapahoe Community College in the Fall
