Current Occupation: Graduate Student at the University of California San Diego 

Currently resides in La Jolla

I just graduated summa cum laude from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a concentration in Engineering. During my time at St. Olaf, I had the privilege of being inducted into multiple honor societies, engaging in the Global Semester study abroad program, competing on the track and field team, and conducting research, to name a few. The topics of research experiences included biomechanical engineering, biochemistry, water purification, and renewable energy engineering. In athletics, I finished out my career with 3 all-conference honors and am so grateful to have had that experience. I am looking forward to continuing to be active long after my track and field retirement. 

The Lynch Family Legacy Scholarship has allowed me to be an active member of my college community in so many different ways. Not only could I achieve all my academic and research goals, but the scholarship allowed me to have extra time to partake in athletics. Without this support, I would've needed another job to support myself, taking away from time where I was able to engage on the track, in the research lab, and in the classroom...all of which led me to be surrounded by a strong and lasting community in college.
